Melburnian prog-rock luminaries Sentia are only a few weeks away from releasing their hotly awaited debut EP, Origins; to pre-emptively celebrate the new work, The Music is stoked to be premiering hectic new single Hydroflow.

Taken from the forthcoming four-track extended player, Hydroflow boasts international origins, having been written while the band were in Hong Kong, but keeps its horizons focused a little closer to home, trading in ruminations on "insecurity, vulnerability and forbidden desire amidst the breakdown of a relationship", set against the band's luscious, dynamic and exploratory instrumentation.

"Hydroflow came about from one of our many jams, one of those loose ideas that begin as a blur but eventually start to make sense," drummer Chris Bodin said in a statement. "We knew this would be a song that was a little more delicate."

The new EP follows on from the success eked out for Sentia following the release of their self-produced single Feast Of Fools, which saw them crack the top 10 on the triple j Unearthed charts in February. That wasn't the first time they'd managed the feat, however; they first accomplished it back in 2013 with three-track release Satellites.
