PREMIERE: Hoodlum Shouts - Twin Cities

Canberran four-piece rockers Hoodlum Shouts are ramping up for the release of their forthcoming full-length, Heat Island, next month, but before they unleash the full LP on eager ears, The Music is stoked to be premiering new jam Twin Cities for you today.

Following in the footsteps of the album's recently released title track, Twin Cities offers up a rough-hewn scorcher that falls somewhere in the vicinity of sounding like the Aussie lovechild of the quieter moments of System Of A Down fused with Bad Religion and Interpol (come on, you hear it too) in the aesthetics stakes, well and truly living up to the rock'n'roughness the band's name evokes in a neat five-and-a-bit minutes. It even boasts a spot of earnest spoken-word delivery towards the end, taking the song on an unexpected (but still highly enjoyable) turn towards its conclusion.

To coincide with the single's release, Hoodlum Shouts have revealed that Heat Island will be released on Friday 20 May via Poison City Records.

For more information about the release, and to keep tabs on the band's movements as they move towards launch date at last, hit them up on Facebook.
