PREMIERE: Leisure Suite - Lay Low

Downtempo Melbourne duo Leisure Suite are following up their well-received debut release with six new synth-dappled dreamscapes on their second EP, Lay Low, and theMusic.com.au is stoked to be premiering the new work freshly on the heels of its official release.

Along with its beautifully crafted compositions — buoyed by vocalist Bridgette Le's silken strains atop the pair's meticulous, lush electronic arrangements — the EP is especially notable for being the pair's first self-produced release, the sense of love infused in the labour of its creation palpable from start to finish.

The breathy evocations of Sweet Gin and glitchy minimalism of Feel mark particular highlights, but the band's penchant for creating high-quality earworms is on broad display throughout Lay Low, which also benefits from the mastering talents of Grammy-nominated luminary Andrei Eremin (Chet Faker, Hiatus Kaiyote).

It's a stunning little listen, and it's little surprise that the band are proud of the end result; they'll be officially launching their new release at The Curtin, in Melbourne, on Friday 4 March, with support from ALTA, HTML Flowers and Martin King.
