Veteran left-coast US punk outfit Lagwagon today release Hang, their eighth studio full-length and first album since 2005, and theMusic.com.au is stoked to be able to provide you with your very own first listen of the new goods today.
Coming nine years after the release of last full-length Resolve (with the intervening time broken up somewhat with 2008's wonderfully titled I Think My Older Brother Used To Listen To Lagwagon EP), Hang finds the stalwart quintet stepping away somewhat from the snarky collegiate skate-punk on which they built their name, stretching their wings to dabble in heavier, more considered and mature arenas, as showcased by recent first taste The Cog In The Machine, which only begins to uncover the depths of Lagwagon's evolution for album number eight.
Lagwagon will be in the country in early 2015 for the impending Soundwave Festival; once you've given Hang the ol' once-through (or twice-through; no one will judge you for loving it) head to our dedicated event page to suss out when and where you can see them in the flesh during next year's festivities.
