The Victorian electro pioneer's new mini-album drops today!
Melburnian electro-folk artist Rose Wintergreen has just dropped a brand-new mini-album of sparklingly atmospheric tunes — Aurora — and we're stoked to be able to bring you a full stream of the goodies today.
The past twelve months have been a time of upward trajectory for the rising muso, who nabbed herself the title of Artist Of The Year in the electronic category of last year's Australian Independent Music Awards, and made it to the finalist ranks of the esteemed Vanda & Young Songwriting Award (previous winners of which include Kimbra and Washington).
Tracks from Aurora have already found their way to rotation of triple j's digital Unearthed station, with her compositions garnering prestigious comparisons to the globally popular sounds of Little Dragon, Massive Attack and fellow Aussie Sarah Blasko.
Wintergreen's first single to be taken from Aurora, Feet In The Sand, stepped out into the top ten on the Unearthed electronic charts, at #5, and garnered airplay on not just the main triple j station but Radio National and community radio stations around the country — not to mention the 25,000 spins it's chalked up on Soundcloud.
