Live Review: BIGSOUND Live: Art Of Sleeping

It's been a little while since we've seen too much action from stalwart dreamscape dwellers Art Of Sleeping, but in this kind of setting, that can actually be a good thing.

Primarily, this is because the early stages of a veteran band's return to public consciousness after some time away are often filled with the newest, rawest ideas, and, while some familiar sounds make their way from the instruments of central member Caleb Hodges and co, the band uses the BIGSOUND opportunity to full effect to get rather generous with the new goods for the faithful in attendance.

The delayed start to their set is unfortunate, if admittedly not at all their fault - but, seconds in, you'd never know there'd been any kind of hiccups at all, as, unsurprisingly, the home-grown heroes offer up a polished string of songs in the distinctly embrace-like manner that we've grown accustomed to over the years.
