"A funky, uplifting album that certainly doesn't stray from their ska roots."

More The Mighty Mighty Bosstones More The Mighty Mighty Bosstones

It has been seven years since The Mighty Mighty Bosstones released an album, although it might feel far longer than that because who remembers much else except their 1997 banger The Impression That I Get?

Green Bay, Wisconsin is a groovy opener that will make you want to get on your feet and have a boogie, with the exuberant sound of vocalist Dicky Barrett and their extensive range of musical instruments including trombone. The Constant brings a punk attitude from Barrett, ignited with some cheeky badass-ness as he sings the line, "Fuck you, asshole!". A 14-track album can be a bold move and While We're At It can start to sound the same after a while. But versatility can be found in Here We Are, Divide and the catchy Absolutely Wrong.

The nine-piece band have delivered a funky, uplifting album that certainly doesn't stray from their ska roots, with brass instruments galore and a hearty punk-rock attitude. While it seems nothing will ever be as catchy as their aforementioned hit, While We're At It will surely bring joy to fans through a long-awaited bunch of new tunes.
