"There's still the odd course gem thrown into GLA."

More Twin Atlantic More Twin Atlantic

Glaswegian rock quartet Twin Atlantic return with their fourth studio album in seven years.

The steady output has seen the band go from the rough-around-the-edges sound to a slightly more polished finish, but there's still the odd coarse gem thrown into GLA. There's immediately At The Drive-In vibes on opener Gold Elephant: Cherry Alligator with singer Sam McTrusty's wiry vocal, which continues throughout, but instrumentally things are pretty clean across the board. No Sleep and I Am Alive have an agreeable funk to them, but You Are The Devil, Ex El, Whispers and the rest, while agreeable, don't offer anything out of the ordinary.
