Album Review: De La Soul - And The Anonymous Nobody...

The result of a rip-roaring Kickstarter success (ten hours = job done!), De La Soul's first proper album in 12 years promises a Gorillaz-like smorgasbord of multi-genred guest stars and resultant jam sessions.

Indeed Damon Albarn turning De La on their heads on Here In After is one of many highlights - as is the electric Pain, wherein a decent funky tune is finally dragged out of Snoop Dogg. It's an incredibly busy and full 68 minutes, yet the quality control remains high. When hip hop celebrates the art of collaboration this successfully, no booty can stay still.
