Album Review: Gucci Mane - Everybody Looking

At his best, there are few who can match Gucci for presence on the track. 

At his worst, he's pedestrian. The balance between the ecstasy and excrement is one that Gucci fans have had to strike for some time. Opener No Sleep is the former; second track Out Do Ya is the latter. Gucci Please the former; Robbed the latter. It makes for a disorienting experience. The heights our host takes us to on Everybody Looking are stratospheric. The depths he mines are deep indeed. Here, as ever with Gucci, the peaks make the troughs worthwhile. Just.
