"This album provides the soundtrack to so many moods and emotional soundscapes."

More Joseph Tawadros More Joseph Tawadros

It turns out that Joseph Tawadros is not only a gun oud player, he is also a master of many other instruments on this lengthy instrumental record.

Covering a huge array of different cultures, Tawadros uses his Egyptian roots to create a more worldly palate of sounds. From the Middle Eastern sounds of Old Cairo and Exile we get to hear other cultures at play such as the dexterous Irish Delhi and the delicate The Daintree which both capture their titles. Tawadros has a reputation for being outspoken and a top-shelf oud player, but on World Music he extends his musical boundaries. This album provides the soundtrack to so many moods and emotional soundscapes — a testament to his talent.
