"Lullabies, lullabies and more lullabies."

In this release from sisters Martha Wainwright and Lucy Wainwright Roche come lullabies, lullabies and more lullabies.

A rare collaboration, Songs In The Dark is a celebration of singalongs and lullabies that permeated through the women's childhoods. Simon & Garfunkel's El Condor Pasa, Jimmie Rodgers' Praire Lullaby and Townes Van Zandt's Our Mother The Mountain will be the obvious favourites, however the pragmatically named Lullaby makes for great subject matter to get a child to sleep. Generally maintaining an acoustic/folk air about it, the album ends with a haunting a cappella rendition of Go Tell Aunt Rhody.
