"At a time where Indigenous languages in this country are disappearing at a faster rate than anywhere else in the world, this work is critically important."

Sounds Of The Pilbara II contains 26 tracks performed by the Indigenous people of the Pilbara in WA's north, and is a beautiful compilation.

The raw tracks from country are particularly insightful, as one listens to each performer describing the origins of the tales they are about to sing which have lasted generations, while the more contemporary sounding tracks showcase a range of wonderful music talents. At a time where Indigenous languages in this country are disappearing at a faster rate than anywhere else in the world, this work is important and plays a huge part in rising up to the challenge of preserving as much culture as possible.
