Album Review: !!! - As If

You know those eight-second filler tracks on great hip hop albums which sound like sketches from something that didn't work in full, but work as stop-gaps?

Well imagine if an otherwise grand squadron of punky-funkers didn't realise they only had sketches and tossed out the full versions. !!!'s sixth record sounds hurried, as if elsewhere there was a better party to get to. Freedom! '15 so nearly makes it as a new queer anthem and closer I Feel So Free (Citation Needed) resurrects a Chicago warehouse but it's too little, too late. As If is all f!!!er, no thr!!!er.
