"This album wears its American country influence proudly on its sleeve, yet adds a distinctly Aussie twang."

Describing themselves as a country rock band from Melbourne is a claim The Bitter Sweethearts obviously don’t take lightly.

This album wears its American country influence proudly on its sleeve, yet adds a distinctly Aussie twang. While these songs may not have come out of the juke joints of Nashville or the honky tonks of Austin, the pubs of Melbourne make a more than serviceable stand-in. From acoustic reflections to sawdust-on-the-floor rockers to heartbreaking duets to piano-based crooners, The Bitter Sweethearts embrace all things country, finding their own way to make it fresh.
