"It’s a pretty good start."

More Dorsal Fins More Dorsal Fins

See those big, primary colours adorning the cover? Yeah, Mind Renovation has more than a passing resemblance to Primal Scream’s transitional work, even if just in the eclecticism stakes.

Liam McGorry (Eagle & The Worm/Saskwatch) has most definitely found the space to breathe he’d hinted at wanting previously, and this is his musical Tardis, packed full of references from all over the timestream. Beck-level psych jams, rollicking soul numbers and quaint, effusive refrains change places constantly. Every track will throw you for a loop, and that’s probably exactly what McGorry wanted. It’s a pretty good start.
