"It’s a damn delight."

Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood has reunited with director Paul Thomas Anderson (There Will Be Blood) to compose the score for this newbie based on Thomas Pynchon’s novel.

It’s a stellar soundtrack of whimsical strings-driven moodiness peppered with songs from the likes of Can and Neil Young. Greenwood really shines on Radiohead-written Spooks, where he’s joined by Supergrass members and Joanna Newsom for a clever, intricately-worded piece of music. Greenwood has the innate ability to mirror the audience’s feelings in his scores, flipping from edge-of-seat tension to light-hearted musicality, and it’s a damn delight.
