"The result is actually a rather pleasant collection of Christmas cheer."

More The Flaming Lips More The Flaming Lips

Continuing the trend of an ever-expansive and confusing discography, Wayne Coyne and Co re-release this collection of Christmas covers just in time for the Holiday season.

Presented in lovingly retro, record hi-fi crackling audio, this release is surprisingly endearing; trademark psychedelic touches exist more as flourishes to the instrumental carols rather than dominating attacks on other recent Lips records. Whilst undeniably a novelty release on paper, the result is actually a rather pleasant collection of Christmas cheer, even if it does all blur together by the album’s end.
