"Sucker is happy pop."

More Pluto Jonze More Pluto Jonze

Like debut LP Eject, Sucker is happy pop. Wear Purple At My Funeral is an upbeat set of instructions – ensuring “you’re all invited when I make my great escape” with booze, lovers and rollerskates taking Jonze out. Breakfast In Korea sounds familiar in a mid-range way (nothing bad, but not as super catchy as the others), while title track, Suckers, is slower and charmingly pathetic: “I don’t care if you break my heart… I’m a sucker for you, it’s true.Too Much Money is great mock cock-rock, while Foolin With Nature is worth it for the keys alone.
