"Solid stuff, especially for rap fans with an introspective bent"
Death-obsessed, London-based, thinking man’s emcee, DELS has carved out a niche few of us thought existed. His second effort is a disorienting journey, Mr Gallear’s voice our only guide. As its title implies, this record is a gloomier affair than 2011’s more life-affirming GOB. It’s not without its moments of exuberance though. Fall Apart, dark though it is, rumbles over engaging bleep bloops. The energy and urgency of Pack Of Wolves is the album’s highlight, its pleasing crunch of a beat complimented by Gallear’s caramel chew. Solid stuff, especially for rap fans with an introspective bent.
