"Hip hop’s answer to Skywalker and Obi-Wan"

Perhaps not be every parent’s first choice but it’s hard to imagine a cooler mentor for a 16-year-old than the one-and-only MF Doom. Not unlike Joey Bada$$, NYC teenager Bishop Nehru had been making some noise on the mixtape circuit with the assistance of a few unauthorised Doom beats, the hero-worship now coming to a head with a collaborative album, NehruvianDOOM. More a Nehru album produced by Doom, with a few choice verses from Metal Face, NehruvianDOOM nicely balances Doom’s uber-quirkiness with Nehru’s straight-up youthful exuberance to create a playful, odd-but-accessible set, hip hop’s answer to Skywalker and Obi-Wan.
