It’s strangely nostalgic music

Raphael ‘Raf Daddy’ Rundell and Joe Goddard make a formidable duo as The 2 Bears.

On their second album they continue to embrace house music in all of its ‘90s glory, focusing on melodies and instrumentation that goes everywhere from dancehall to pop. This is house music when DJs spun only vinyl – piano keys clang on Angel (Touch Me) and its all jaunt with falsetto on Unbuild It. It’s strangely nostalgic music, leaving the intangible sense of being transported to a London nightclub some 15 years ago.
