First set, and what was most memorable for you?
My friend Eva’s 13th birthday, where I cleared the floor with NKOTB’s You Got It (The Right Stuff).

All time favourite 12”?
Game Over – Dabrye feat. Phat Kat & J Dilla.

Funniest thing that has happened to you while DJing and why?
Had a girl tell me her boyfriend was a much better DJ. Years later a guy told me that it was his fiancee and she did it ad part of her hen’s night dares.

Weirdest thing you’ve seen in a nightclub?
Roc Raida (RIP) wearing a horse head mask in a nightclub in Tokyo.

How healthy do you see you hometown’s scene?
Very healthy. Seems that turntablism is experiencing a resurgence! The Melbourne underground music scene had always been strong, especially in the wonky future beat side of things.

Been touring lately? Any stories to tell of recent travels?
Been travelling for work – I’m the Australian Product Specialist for Ableton and Native Instruments. I was in Hong Kong recently and saw the new NI stuff on the way...

Any local producers tickling your fancy?
Silent Jay, Amin Payne, Akouo, JPS & Hooves, Sean Deans. Night Cruise from WA.

What should people expect from your sets?
A blend of musicality and fun, and being technical without losing the flow or soul of it.

When and where for your next gig?
Australian DMC DJ Victorian Finals, Laundry Bar, 2 Aug.
