What part of the world has had the most influence on you, musically?: Africa hands down. Rhythms and harmony have migrated around the world from this place. One of the positives to have been born from slavery.

Where have you experienced music really impacting and influencing a culture?: First Nations, Pow Wow music in Canada.

When it comes to your band – is more always better?:  Tastefulness is the key to our grooves and reggae influenced music. It is the notes you leave out .

What's one instrument you wish you could master?: Piano. I'm still trying to master drums, voice and the eternal quest for writing great songs.

Do you have any pre-gig rituals?: The day of the gig is ritual. Just focussing on putting out good musical vibrations.

What's your favourite food dish?: Babi guling. It is a spicy Balinese dish that I could eat every day.

Can you recommend us a drink at the bar?: Dark and Stormy Rum (has to be top shelf and spiced).
