"Oh my god it was craaaazy... But I don’t think it was brain surgery. I just don’t think people tour as groups enough anymore, you know?"

If you saw any footage or photos from the recent sold-out House Party tour featuring Nina Las Vegas, Flume, Deacon Rose, Beni and Emoh Instead/Flume side-project What So Not, you'll notice they looked like a lot of fun, something that's been lost in the club scene over the past years. According to Agzarian, it wasn't rocket science putting on such a massive tour.

“Oh my god it was craaaazy,” she starts, smile beaming down the line. “But I don't think it was brain surgery. I just don't think people tour as groups enough anymore, you know? I remember going to a Red Riders and Dappled Cities Fly show and it just made perfect sense to see two bands that were good friends play instead of one… These days everyone thinks they have to go solo.

“I had club nights I'd go to all the time but I don't really have that anymore… But it was such an easy win. To have five people play together, and then you pay a little amount to go see good music, all night. Not just 20 bucks for one person for an hour, you know? It just sucks because it does take a lot of energy. Hip hop people do it all the time, but I hadn't seen that unity in the Australian club scene for so long.”

The fact that all the acts on the line-up were good friends definitely made for good vibes all round. “We just stayed onstage the whole time. It wasn't just the kind of thing where I'd go, play and leave… I was there from 7pm when Deacon was on, we all hung around, we all kicked on. We kinda didn't want anyone to get on afterwards, but the club kinda made us get off eventually!

“You could tell, it felt like a party. We all wanted to be there, there was nothing fake about it.”
