More N'Fa Jones More N'Fa Jones

Renowned Aussie hip hop luminary N'fa Jones has been laying a little low on the solo front lately, having given most of his past year has centred on recording an EP with his well-known crew, 1200 Techniques.

To keep the momentum rolling as he works on new material for himself, however, N'fa has very kindly — and rather appropriately — unveiled a nice little pre-Halloween treat in the eerie video for his ominous track, Monsters Ballad. As N'fa describes it, it's a "fantastical serenade of undead love, lost forever", and it's proudly premiering today on theMusic.com.au.

Astute listeners among you will recognise the song as coming from N'fa's excellent 2014 album Black + White Noise, and may be interested to learn that it was actually filmed some time ago but, with the man having been pretty understandably preoccupied in the ensuing time, he's only just ushered it out into the world.

To create the dark-and-stormy clip, N'fa conscripted talented duo Nic McRobbie — who conceived, produced, directed and edited the video — and cinematographer Dan Walsh, a pairing that has previously yielded solid results for fellow rap lord Remi, on whose Tyson video they worked together.
