More The Cherry Dolls More The Cherry Dolls

Melbourne rockers The Cherry Dolls are preparing to blast out the gates on a six-date tour of the right half of the country, preceding the string of shows with killer new single Slave.

Proudly premiering on theMusic.com.au today, the tune is a fast-and-furious two-and-a-half minutes crammed with pulsing drums, rolling bass, snarling guitar and powerful vocals, underscored by a primal infectiousness that is sure to set heads banging and fists pumping in kind.

The song was produced with the assistance of The Delta Riggs' Alex Markwell and nicely furthers the band's well-earned reputation for raucous, rockin' riffs fuelled by authenticity and self-assuredness aplenty. If you're a fan of The Stooges, The Rolling Stones, The Strokes and other acts in the aggressively cocksure vein, you'll love this new slice from The Cherry Dolls.

If you want to catch them in the flesh on their imminent tour, you can get yourself to Solbar, on the Sunshine Coast, for the first outing tomorrow night, 21 April, or at any of their upcoming shows in Byron Bay, Wollongong, Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne, where they wrap the tour in just over a month at the Corner Hotel.
