Single title? Vice City
What's the song about? Vice City is a sordid tale of street-wise diplomacy and the allure of a damned good time.
How long did it take to write/record? Vice City was written in a codeine-dream in approximately half a sleep and recorded in less than half that time whilst almost fully awake.
Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? Ah, no, you see - with the "Record Industry" being wholeheartedly consumed by the instantaneous availability that is online streaming, one has to 'get with the times, man'.
What was inspiring you during the song's writing and recording? The same things that inspire us on a day to day basis - sexual references, adult themes, pro wrestling and state league soccer.
We'll like this song if we like... Good songs, world peace, trick shots whilst playing games of pool, nebulas and bodybuilding.
Do you play it differently live? Yeah, when we play it live we play it in front of you with our instruments, rather than the ghost-in-the-speaker form that is taken once it's recorded.
When and where is your launch/next gigs? We're touring throughout WA and Victoria in July and August, all our dates, merch and info is available at TheSouthernRiverBand.com
