Single title? Dying To Hear

What's the song about? Awaiting a call from a soon-to-be ex-girlfriend, and the big, dramatic, desperate feelings associated with not hearing from someone.

How long did it take to write/record? We recorded over a few sessions in various studios around NSW. The writing process was teethed out for weeks until we stumbled onto a structure and pace that we loved.

Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? This is the first single from Flowertruck's forthcoming debut album - due for release via Spunk Records in Q4 2017.

What was inspiring you during the song's writing and recording? The song was inspired by an inner city winter, and that swirling circle when Skype won't connect. Our tranquil surrounds at The Grove Studios were a huge inspiration during recording.

We'll like this song if we like... The Go-Betweens, yelling into your pillow, Dick Diver, Scott & Charlene's Wedding, dramatic piano, triumphant conclusions.

Do you play it differently live? Live, this song is a bit of a vibe sponge: it can be fast, slow, soft or loud. Either way, we always put all of our emotions into this one.

When and where is your launch/next gigs? 15 Apr, The Workers Club.
