Single title? Do It All Wrong
What's the song about? The anxiety that comes from an era filled with bad news, morally bankrupt decisions and the uncertainty of our collective future.
How long did it take to write/record? We wrote the majority of the instrumentation of the track in about four-five hours. Overall the track took a few weeks to finish completely, we spent a bit more time mixing this one.
Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? This is the first taste of a bunch of new tunes we're putting out end of this year/start of next & we're going into the studio real soon too!
What was inspiring you during the song's writing and recording? The ending of Cloud Nothings song - Wasted Years - (sounds very different to this song though) was my initial inspiration. Then the song kind of transformed into a sad and dancy pop song.
We'll like this song if we like... The Church, The Jungle Giants, The Belligerents, The Cure, Holy Holy, New Order, LCD Soundsystem.
Do you play it differently live? No, all six of us doing our thing as you hear it, with a little more dancing. You hear dancing, right?
When and where is your launch/next gigs? October 27, The Bird, Northbridge.
