Single title? How Long Must We Wait
What's the song about? Finding purpose in life. Even just finding a job. And all the waiting around being useless that comes with that.
How long did it take to write/record? Only took a week to write and record. Our producer friend Cameron Parkin (Client Liaison, Owl Eyes, Bag Raiders) mixed/mastered it, that was a few months later.
Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? Yep - there's another Ah Trees EP along the way for next year, stay tuned.
What was inspiring you during the song's writing and recording? Weirdly enough, I was listening to melodic prog metal at the time and that subconsciously was channelled into the guitar harmonies. We also wanted to return to the direction of our first single - Bodies.
We'll like this song if we like... The Cure, Queens of the Stone Age, New Order, DIIV, The Cramps, Wild Nothing.
Do you play it differently live? Not really, maybe a little heavier, more noise - but just more mistakes probably, haha!
When and where is your launch/next gigs? This Saturday - WAMFest Live at The Bird, Northbridge. We're also doing our own single launch later in November, also at The Bird!
