Where does your band fall under the 'progressive' umbrella? Somewhere between heavy, ambient and tribal.

What's your personal definition of prog? What distinguishes it from other genres? Creative music that does not repeat itself without purpose. Unusual time signatures or grooves and a combination of large and small sounds pieced together to tell a story.

Do you feel Australia's prog scene is on the rise at the moment? Definitely on the international scene. A number of bands have carved their way by touring into the European and US markets, among others, which have turned a few heads in our direction. The prog market is huge over there in comparison to Australia. Prog can be a tough sell onshore, though.

Is this your first Progfest? If not what's your fave memory, if so what are you expecting? Definitely not our first. This will be our fifth appearance. Always a great atmosphere. Prog is generally 'intelligent' music so it takes a lot of the attitude out, which can otherwise be present. Best memory is probably Helm at the Espy in 2014, but I have a feeling Leprous or Osaka Punch could top that!

Does your band have any unique pre-show rituals? Apart from the usual warm-ups and stretches we usually just have a round of nude Jager shots and talk about emus.

If you could get absolutely anything on the rider, what would you ask for? A flawless performance.

Which of the other acts are you most excited to see on the bill? So many! Leprous, Voyager, Osaka Punch — the whole line-up is amazing and so diverse.
