Presumably you've been to the Newtown Festival before, what's your favourite memory? It's always a banger of a day, heaps of old mates floating around, good bands and a bit of a celebration of the inner west.

Lots of suburbs put on festivals, but Newtown Festival is always particularly huge - why do you think that is? Well, last year my kid Buddy pulled in a few thousand fans when he made the finals of the puppy dog race. He's pretty much the Usain Bolt of the Dachshund world.

Favourite spot at the festival to chill and watch the world go by? Probably Essential stage near the Courty is a nice area.

What would be your entry into the dog show? My pup Bud has given up the dog show game. He's more into long walks with small white poodles now.

The festival's theme this year is "Home Is Where The Heart Is" - where do you feel most at home in Newtown and why? Probably at The Stinking Bishops on Enmore road. With a four cheese board, pate and a nice bottle of Malbec.

The musical line-up this year is all from inner west artists. What is it about the inner west that inspires so much creativity? I think the amount of great music and great bands of all genres inspires creativity. Living here pushes you to write better music.

Of all the food stalls on offer at the Festival, what do you reckon is one we should definitely check out and why? Gozleme is always a winner.

When and where are you performing on the day? 12.45pm on the Essential Stage
