Drink News: Newtown Festival

The exciting, thirst-quenching news has arrived that local heroes Mary's and Young Henry's will be curating all of the coming 37th Newtown Festival's bars. Festival Director Sue Anderson said that considering Mary's and Young Henry's are two of Newtown's most iconic and loved venues, the choice was easy. 

Mary's Jake Smyth and Kenny Graham plus Young Henry's Oscar McMahon and Richard Adamson have hit up local breweries and winemakers to make sure the best in local talent is well represented.

The line-up includes wine writer Mike Bennie and his charity wine For The Dandy In The Clos, Rootstock, Willy The Boatman, Batch Brewery, and Sparrow And Vine. There's plenty of chances for people to try something new, but also plenty of familiar faces around.

Newtown Festival is to be held at Camperdown Memorial Rest Park on 8 Nov.
