"The decor is warm, inviting yet glamorous, all dark timber and reddish-purple hues with swing seats."

The brand new Waterslide Bar was just launched last week.

The bar pays tribute to the colourful area once know as "near Princes Bridge", where adventure seekers would hop into a tall wooden chute and be propelled down a wooden waterslide. Unfortunately, there is no waterslide at this new bar but they make up for that with a bar menu from award -inning bar manager, Tim Wastell and Black Pearl's Fred Siggins. Wastell says the bar takes its drink choices very seriously, but not itself. Expect seasonal ingredients and unique flavour combinations in cocktails such as Name In Lights (Pampero Blanco, passionfruit, lime, pho spices, Vietnamese mint) and Reel It In (George Dickel Tennessee Whiskey, butter caramel, chestnut, soda water, cherries, rosewater Persian fairy floss). High quality spirits and wines are also on the drinks list. As for food, bar snacks include fish carpaccio, pickled and marinated octopus, or maybe a Cuban sandwich or mini soft-shell crab po'boy if you're feeling especially peckish. The decor is warm, inviting yet glamorous, all dark timber and reddish-purple hues with swing seats, lounge nooks, rocking chairs and rotating stools adding even more character to the bar.
