Towradgi Beach Hotel boasts Wollongong’s largest beer garden, complete with a waterfall and several outdoor bars. Yes, a waterfall. Talk about summer vibes!

White crisp picnic tables and nautical-inspired Corona flags also scream summer. With an outdoor park (a kid’s dream) at one end of the beer garden and a sports bar (a sport’s enthusiast’s dream) at the other, TBH welcomes all types. There’s also an open air roof, OBAR, which is an 18+ hideaway with soft lounges, water wall and specialty cocktails that you can easily lose an afternoon in.

Wollongong has had an influx of small bars recently which has seen everyone pick up their game in regards to menus, offerings and produce – which is excellent news for locals and visitors alike! TBH keeps to its roots, though, offering big pub-style meals with a modern twist. There’s seafood, sensational burgers (pulled pork burger, classic cheese burger, fish burger), sharing plates, kid’s meals, pizzas, plus they’ve just opened a nacho bar (what a beautiful pairing of words), Macho Nacho. 

They’re serving up fresh cocktails for summer – a traditional mojito never disappoints. However, sometimes it’s the simple things that hit the spot, like sipping a Corona with lime or a fruity cider in the beer garden under an umbrella with your mates. TBH is ideal for that sort of thing.

The band room, Waves, has hosted acts such as Ramones, Ugly Kid Joe, The Beastie Boys, Silverchair The Offspring and Frenzal Rhomb, Blink 182 and Pennywise, and Everclear.

Nightly specials from 5pm: Monday – Oscars Famous Ribs for $15; Tuesday – $7 schnitzels; Wednesday – $10 steaks; Thursday – 2-for-1 main meals; Sunday – kids eat free (with every main meal purchase). $5 brekky specials on the weekend. There’s also free live music every Friday night, Saturday arvo and Sunday arvo.
