Head chef Javier Perez-Gonzalez brings a Mediterranean and Spanish flair to the kitchen alongside sous-chef Arminder Singh, who brings an Indian influence. Try natural oysters with lemon; or seafood linguine with vongole, spanner crab, prawns, tomato, chilli and lemon.
The staple pub items like the famous veal schnitzel crumbed with lemon and parmesan, hot mustard coleslaw and sauce diable are here to stay. The dessert menu includes decadent options like the chocolate fondant with pistachio crème, chocolate soil and nougat ice cream.
On tap, Lamaro’s has 2 Brothers, Trumer Pils, Warsteiner, Asahi, Colonial Kolsch, and some Margaret River boutique beers. Over summer be sure to try one of twelve single malt whiskeys or the Lamaro’s cocktail with gin, mint and lime. The wine list is twenty pages long, so it’s safe to say they’ll have what you want and need.
The name and design originated with Pam Lamaro, who transformed what used to be the Bayview Hotel into the sleek dining experience that is Lamaro’s today.
From Monday through to Saturday you can enjoy a two-course set menu for lunch, served with a Colonial beer or glass of wine, for $35.
