Fat Pizza Vs Housos

"More than simply a greatest hits package."

Fans of the long-running SBS cult classic Fat Pizza and its more recent spin-off Housos, would be well acquainted with the outlandish characters of Habib, Shazza, Jimmy the Junkie, Kev and Franky.

Tonight they lead the show and as such the standard jokes about child support, evading authorities and drug abuse are ever present. However it’s the well-timed topical digs at Joe Hockey, Bill Cosby and Ben Cousins that get the greatest roars.

Running considerably past its hour-long allocation, a brief Bogan Hunters skit, an audience Q&A and constant off-the-cuff banter with the crowd make the show more than simply a greatest hits package and is testament to why creator Paul Fenech’s brand of politically incorrect comedy has lasted 15 years on the television waves and even won him a Logie.
