Epic skateboard sessions and rip snorter sandwich parties - let the Ball Park touring begin!

What do you do when a hire car company makes you wait two hours for your tour van? Fortunately for us, our road cases double as great grinding boxes... Cue epic airport skate sesh.

Touring involves a shitload of waiting around. This tour I've decided to try my hand at a bit of skateboarding (I fall over a lot) and I've also become an amateur skate photographer. I was lucky enough to fluke this shot of Sam at Wollongong University which allowed me to #sk8 on my Instagram.

At the very end of the night after our Canberra gig, the vultures were descending on our leftover rider, I took guard and ensured that we would be able to have a well-catered sandwich party in Dan and my hotel room the morning after. As you can see from Paul and Jen's expression in the picture, it was a rip snorter of a party.

When we travel we have a ridiculous amount of gear. Just after this photo was taken, a huge storm rolled in over the Brisbane Airport and we had to quickly lug all this gear to one of the shelters you can see in the background… Sans the flatbed trolley we used to get it all there in the first place! NB half our gear is behind me in the photo. One day we took five trolleys up the travelator in the background. The first trolley got stuck at the top which then caused a huge chain reaction, you can imagine the rest. It was my worst nightmare.

This was taken on the first day of the Puddinghead tour when we were relaxing in our hotel room. I woke up at 7:50 am and put my boardies on ready for the beach. I patiently waited for everyone else to wake up so we could enjoy it together. After about an hour and a half of waiting, Sam and Paul busted into our room soaking wet and proceeded to tell us how good the beach was that morning... I missed the boat :(. We all went the next day and made up for it!
