News outlets tiring of controversial pop star antics

A number of the world's top news outlets have admitted to each other that they have grown unimaginably bored of a pop star's controversial antics.

After following here every move for most of the year, a number of editors recently agreed that they were sick and tired of monitoring their Google Alerts for the smallest piece of news. According to a SPA Confidential source the editors broached the topic at an early Christmas party where at first everyone was too scared to admit they didn't enjoy reporting on the star, but as the night wore on it emerged as a universal trend.

“She's so desperately trying to get our attention, but I'm just not sure why we comply and keep running stories on her,” one editor said.

“It wouldn't be so bad if it was like the good old days and there was something to actually report about, but I don't care who she left the club with and what kind of dance she's planning at the American Music Awards,” he continued.

“Exactly, where are the real scandals? Whatever happened to good old fashioned tax fraud?” a fellow scribe agreed.

It is believed the matter took over conversation at the event as the night went on.

“Here's the Top 5 Reasons I'm Sick Of Writing Shit About Some Dickhead No One Will Care About In Ten Months,” a clearly inebriated editor said while urinating into a sink at the event.

It is understood that while sharing a cab back to a gentlemen's club, three high profile editors agreed that satirical stories disguised as news pieces was the best way to move their mastheads forward.
