Syd: The Explorers Club: Antarctica

Really, how can you go wrong with two men in tight pants looking like they were plucked straight from the ‘70s giving a history lesson through song? Add to that a highly unusual venue – a gutted-out old Marrickville Newsagency – an eclectic bunch of patrons sipping red wine from jam jars and you’ve got yourself an unexpectedly enjoyable night!
The folksy duo took us on a surprisingly catchy voyage through spoken word, songs and illustrated tales of Captain Scott, Ernest Shackleton and the age of Antarctic exploration.
