STUDIO at the MEMO premieres this July.
Tim Rogers, a man who has been such a huge part of Australian rock'n'roll over the past couple of decades that no description we give him ever really seems to do him justice, has a new gig as a television host and he'll be bringing quality music to our screens from July onwards.
STUDIO at the MEMO is the name of the new program, and it is said to feature “a dream team of Australia's A-list performers and some of the world's most daring acts” bringing together elements of burlesque, cabaret, circus, music and more.
Six episodes of the show have been ordered and some pretty great names will be a part of these shows; Tex Perkins, Kaki King, Kate Miller-Heidke, Martha Wainwright, Don Walker, Mojo Juju, Paul Capsis, VulgarGrad and a whole heap more have all been confirmed as performers throughout the season.
As its title suggests the show is filmed at the MEMO, an old 1920s St Kilda Dancehall that is no doubt the perfect looking space for a show such as this. It premieres on Foxtel's STUDIO Network on Tuesday 16 July.
