Can crabcore live on?

More Attack Attack! More Attack Attack!

American metalcore group Attack Attack! Have today announced they will be splitting up, effective immediately, after eight years together in which the band went through no fewer than 11 members (as well as four touring members).

The band's Andrew Whiting and Andrew Wetzel, the two members of the band who have been there from the start, made the announcement via their Facebook page:

“We want to start by thanking every single one of you that has ever come out to a show, bought a shirt, gotten in a fight over crabcore, or spent the time to send us notes online. We have been insanely blessed to be able to do what we have done with AA and we think it's time that we wrap up this chapter in our lives.”

The band took a major hit back in 2008 when their prioginal lead singer Austin Carlile left the group to form Of Mice & Men, who have become one of the most popular bands on the metalcore scene at present.
