Florida four-piece Surfer Blood have just released their clip to 'Demon Dance' alongside details of their forthcoming record, Pythons!
It's been a while since we've heard of Floridian outfit SURFER BLOOD. They released their debut album, Astro Coast in 2010; which was also the last time they visited us over here in Australia.
Before the tumbleweed starting rolling by, they released their Tarot Classics EP the following year. Thankfully, this super long break has come to a close as the dudes have announced the release of their sophomore LP Pythons!
A very exciting announcement, the boys will have the record out in June of this year. Having already released 'Weird Shapes' earlier this year, we're delighted to listen to Pythons' second single, 'Demon Dance', and have been spoilt with an accompanying film clip!

Featuring a mall cop (played by frontman John Paul Pitt) who falls in lust with a lady who has misplaced her wallet, we watch the two frolic in their spur of love - going to prom together, exercising together, beaching together.. All shot in frames that could quite easily be used as postcard photographs (although they'd be really odd postcards).
Also viewing scenes of the band as business men and scuba divers (not to mention the hilarious scene of Pitt dressed as a dog as he sings the more hoarse vocals), these scenes are soon interrupted by unexpected guests, which causes the whole clip to turn on its head.
The track itself is definitely very Surfer Blood, as the dudes have kept their powerpop sound in the same way we've always known it, yet is still alive and fresh.
Pythons will be available from the 17th of June through Sire Records and can be pre-ordered through the band's website HERE.
