Fractures has stripped down his song 'Embers' into an acoustic version for his live set at The Peoples Market.
Mark Zito is FRACTURES - a musical project born from cooled melodies, sensual depth and amplified ambience. He released his powerful track 'Embers' roughly a year ago now, that touches on the past and present; and has only recently been performed acoustically live at West Melbourne's 'Peoples Market'.
Shot for your viewing pleasure, it's a clip I'm sure you'll revisit time and time again. Positioned on either side of Fractures by two of his tour comrades taking on keys, guitar and backing vocal duties, we're spoilt with the amalgamation of three talented musicians shedding new light on the solemnly beautiful 'Embers'.
It is due to the nature of this stripped down version that allows us to appreciate the song in this particular fashion. Though aurally quieter when compared to the heavy synth-work of the original recording, there's something about this session that is intensified.
Whether it's the harmonising of the powerful vocals or the connection between the three gents and their instruments, it's definitely exerted by the confrontation of expression bestowed upon the face of Fractures, as you can tell this passionately executed song was established with emotional intent.
