"Wafia is mesmerising — at once deliberate yet delicate — and absolutely one to watch in 2016."

More Wafia More Wafia

Making her mark with a string of excellent collaborations with the likes of Japanese Wallpaper and Charles Murdoch, Wafia's debut EP XXIX is an impressive progression for the Brisbane-based artist. She exudes an effortless assuredness at every step, beginning with the bold suit of copper armour on her striking cover.

Co-produced with labelmate Ta-Ku, lead single Heartburn is one hell of an electro soul slow burn, highlighting a smooth, expressive vocal at one with its surroundings, as with the atmospheric Untitled. Wafia is mesmerising — at once deliberate yet delicate — and absolutely one to watch in 2016.
