"The crowd begs for the highly anticipated encore song 'Hot Potato', which is a spectacular finish."

More The Wiggles More The Wiggles

Upon entering The Croxton bandroom the energy is electric, with the venue jam-packed for The Wigglessold out 25th Anniversary reunion show. Warming up the crowd, a war veterans band is met by an enthusiastic welcome as the sound of their bagpipes fill the room. Opening with the veterans is a great representation of what this gig is all about: raising funds and awareness for Soldier On, a charity focusing on assisting veterans returning home who have suffered from physical and physiological wounds.

Everything is now set for The Wiggles to take the stage. A chant of "Aussie-Aussie-Aussie" even breaks out to keep the crowd pumped-up. As soon as the curtains open, the venue erupts in a roar of screams and cheers. It's a sight to be seen when four men in brightly coloured skivvies can make a crowd react in this way.

Kicking off a night of what becomes a 'Wiggle Workout', the only appropriate way to start is with Wiggly Party straight into Fruit Salad, with the overjoyed crowd following every move that original Yellow Wiggle Greg Page makes. With such an excellent start, we're in for a night of dancing like loons and reverting back to our childhood. The Wiggles make sure that the whole gang is here as it wouldn't be a proper reunion show without Captain Feathersword, Henry The Octopus, Dorothy The Dinosaur and, of course, Wags The Dog along for the ride.

Opening the vault of childhood memories, The Wiggles bring out all the classics with Rock-A-Bye Your Bear and Monkey Dance. Nothing could beat a room full of heavily intoxicated people screaming, "WAKE UP JEFF!" in unison. Just like when we were kids, we still can't seem to jump in time, but we're able to remember - word for word - Toot Toot, Chugga Chugga, Big Red Car.

Although the audience had grown up and added a smartphone or two, our admiration and enthusiasm for The Wiggles hasn't faltered. This is clear when the crowd begs for the highly anticipated encore song Hot Potato, which is a spectacular finish to this unique experience of adults reliving their childhood.
