"A moment of tranquillity and reflection that's as pure as they come."

The achingly beautiful nostalgic recount, Skye, sits just after halfway through The Mae Trio's latest full-length release — a moment of tranquillity and reflection that's as pure as they come.

Take Care Take Cover is a prime example of what modern Australian folk music has to offer, from the driving clawhammer banjo tones of Well Enough Alone, to the luminous vocal harmonies of Only Ever Growing. In between, the vivid and picturesque lyricism provides narrative and direction to the whole album. The Mae Trio have outdone themselves with this release.
