"The record is creatively original while maintaining the synergy expected with any exemplary record"

The Helio Sequence’s self-titled sixth album is one of the most pleasant pieces of music you’ll hear thus far into the year.

The beautiful production and post-pop sensibilities are soothing on the soul. The record is creatively original while maintaining the synergy expected with any exemplary record. The Helio Sequence is right on par with lo-fi greats like Bonobo and Public Service Broadcast. There’s nary a single disappointment present in this diverse collection of floaty chill-time songs. Not to mention – inspired, during the original session, the band recorded 20 songs in a single day.
