Three words: “solo crotch appreciation”.
WOMANz sees Tessa Waters take on the titular character to celebrate bodies, being a woman and the ‘Art of Dance’.
There’s spandex, sequins, big hair and a killer costume for the finale. Waters engages the audience from the get-go with her enthusiasm and bravado, and all fall for her charm, everyone (not just the young ‘uns) willingly participating in a dance with her, without inhibition. Add to that a spectacular array of silly facial expressions, spiels about “solo crotch appreciation” and body hair, and gentle ribbing of gender stereotypes, WOMANz is a physical theatre experience filled with self-love and positive vibes.
